Do you think you will find them very impressive after seeing a hydra? Congratulations on your mission, by the way.

Fish are way cuter than hydras (I was not a fan!). And thank you! I'm just glad we succeeded and nobody was seriously hurt.

I mean, yes? That's what I was trying to do, but it just didn't kill them as much as I'd hoped it would (not that I want to kill anything, but it was going to attack the nearby villages if we didn't stop it).

But they must get bored. And paying for other people to do exciting things is not much more exciting than paying for anything else.

I think doing anything to something dinosaur-sized is impressive, but I am sure your experience from this will help you do more if you end up in another situation like it. Did you get hurt at all?

I hope so! I think I would like to try another mission, and hopefully accomplish more next time. And just barely! I tripped and scraped my knee but that was it. I had made a forcefield bubble that protected me from anything worse.

Oh yeah, my dad said that he's the reason the university pulled my funding and killed my research project. But he also might have been lying. I dunno.

It is good that there are silver linings. I can understand why Cadmus would want to hire you so badly, because you are amazing, but I cannot understand going to those lengths. Why would he not just make you a large, honest offer? Or at least attempt that first? He had you blaming yourself for "messing up" your opportunity at the university. And your father let you believe it?
