I would have to check my records to get an exact count, but quite a few. It's incredible, actually, to have life and death at the tips of your fingers.

When did that start for you? Did you go to school for it?

I didn't learn how to use magic until university. [...] I didn't realize I could until then. Raised by humans, etc.

Same, actually. I mean, I figured it out really young, but it was by accident, and I didn't actually understand what was going on. Like, what do you mean my friends can't just think super hard and make the toy they want appear out of thin air?

That's an excellent trick, though. I could get my parents to buy whatever I wanted, but I still had to wait for it to arrive.

Thanks, it's kind of hard now that I'm a jaded adult. But who knows, maybe meeting a bunch of fantasy creatures and wizards will shake it loose.
