[…] […] Oh, I see. You require my presence so you can feed of my discomfort. Very well. I will watch this movie as you “align.”
I did imagine what it’d be like to live underwater, after doing some reading supplementary to the selkie care books. The differences in ambient pressure, and temperature, and even how noise travels differently makes it seem incredibly vibrant. And then I stopped imagining, because it made me sad considering you are now stuck here on the surface, which in comparison must feel dead and empty.
[…] I was made in a city called Yanji. It’s not very far from the ocean, but back then it was harder to move around. I first saw the ocean outside of a city called Yingkou.
[...] It's not so terrible up here. There are lots of interesting spices to taste and art to see. And new stories to hear. I like being able to rest on a soft bed. But even when I'm healthy, it's [...] just harder to be in this body, somehow. I miss my whiskers.
I'm very liberal with my quote usage. If I'm using a word in a way that doesn't fit its usual meaning, I'll put it in quotes. Or if I don't fully understand how a word is meant to be used in a given context. At any rate, I will attend.
I was reading about selkie whiskers on the bus. Whiskers provide a sort of sixth sense, is that right? And they can also be used to convey affection? Grooming another's whiskers can be a form of bonding for some selkies, or so I've read. Human bodies don't have an equivalent, but if I had something like whiskers and lost them, I would sorely miss them, too. [...] You'll have them back, sooner than you think.
Sometimes I miss Yanji. But there's almost no point in dwelling on it; it's not like whiskers. Everything that I miss about the city must be very different now, and everyone I'd miss is long gone.
Oh, you think I had a double-meaning. It's not wise to presume. I'll be glad to see you.
That's right. It's a bit like having fingers run through your hair, if your hair could hear and feel and even see, in a way. That's sweet of you to say. I appreciate you looking out for me, even if it is just your purpose.
Are there places you would like to see? I saw your conversation with Dora before.
But Ainslie. I'm not wise. I'm cool. Yes, I'm sure we'll all have a wonderful time.
[...] Indeed, it is my purpose.
In Yanji? Not anymore. [...] I'd like to go to Chongqing. [...] [...] [...] But this conversation is abutting into my scheduled SoundCloud creation time, and so I must go. Goodbye.

She’s beautiful, is she not? Just imagine all that she is beneath the surface. I’m sure I’ll love it. […] Where were you […] made, exactly?
