One of my god kids is convinced I don't have any friends so: Is anyone up for finding the best local brewery? Or seeing a sports thing in Toronto? Or starting a trivia team? An escape room? A hobby club where we try something new every week? [...] These suggestions might be why she's concerned about me.

This is the primary draw of the pub crawl to me. I can't miss the gossip.

see, i can feel the sarcasm dripping, but i think you're underestimating how entertaining gossip can be.
