Dear Dr Best,
I have been informed that you are the former Head Librarian at this institution and the current Head of Knowledge. I am the Head Librarian at Quest Fellowship and will be visiting for the next little while. Please do let me know if it would be possible toinspectperuse your facilities. I've read some of your work, and am interested to hear your thoughts and experiences within this iteration of the Society thus far.
Sincerely,
Elliott Woodhouse, BA, MLIS, PhD

Our bosses have a longstanding rivalry—they used to be friends at some point, but they are no longer such.

[...] What work have you read?
Broderick.
Various papers you wrote on the history of magic, social and political practices of magic, history of supernatural political movements, cultural understandings and uses of death magic and the afterlife while you were a professor at Gwydion Supernatural University. Fascinating stuff.
This is a bit of a career detour for you, isn't it, Dr Best?
Elliott
Fascinating, well. Thank you. Do you have a particular interest in the history of magic?
That's a pretty impertinent question, Dr. Woodhouse. I'm on sabbatical, I'm still a professor there.
