Archive Race!
The rules are simple: each participant will draw a random card from the Archives' extensive card catalog, and then use one of the experimental maps to navigate their way to the location that item is stored. Once they've retrieved it and brought it back to the main floor, they'll receive their final time - and be allowed to keep whatever junk they've dug up.
THE MAPS
Because the Archives exist in a Escherian multi-dimensional space, they can be pretty difficult to map and navigate thoroughly. The maps Adrian and Curio have produced reflect this, folding over on themselves in origami-like patterns. Some of them even have rotating parts which must be aligned correctly in order for the map to be properly read.
THE ARCHIVES
The Archives have one main staircase which runs through all the levels in roughly numerical sequence, but it's much faster to navigate the space by the multiple hidden shortcuts on each level. Some levels make dreamlike transitions into one another, some are full of trapdoors or secret chutes, and some have access to secondary staircases that go in counterintuitive directions. It's hard to get lost on the main staircase and very easy to get lost anywhere else.
SAFETY MEASURES
Everyone who's sent into the Archives is given one of the teleportation medallions crafted by Byron Best. These magical devices will pop their wearers back to the main level of the Archives if any extradimensional destabilization occurs, but they also sometimes malfunction randomly. They can also be triggered manually if the wearer gets lost (or finds their target item!).
ATTEMPTS
ATTEMPTS: Bracken
How competitive are they?: 1, he's just here to help and have fun.
Are they good at navigating?: 6! what could have been a ten gets docked because the archives are sooo not his style.
Anything Else: he's (finally) doing this on two legs instead of four, which makes him slightly less adept at Navigation and Speed but more adept at other important tasks like Holding the Map Without Drooling On It and also Having Opposable Thumbs.

Re: ATTEMPTS: Bracken
ATTEMPTS: Maya
How competitive are they?: 5? Just here to try to help make the maps better.
Are they good at navigating?: 6
Anything Else: Werewolf scent? If that's applicable for her item.
ATTEMPTS: Maya
ATTEMPTS: Barbie
How competitive are they?: 4, also here to make maps better
Are they good at navigating?: 6
Anything Else: doesn't get physically ill/disorientated by Escherian space or need food/rest. Has been to the Archives for work before (probably not deep or extensively)
ATTEMPTS: Barbie

ATTEMPTS: Sandy
How competitive are they?: 7! winning is fun but no part of his self-worth depends on such a BASE idea.
Are they good at navigating?: idk let's say 7 he has magic
Anything Else: feel free to ignore the 7 in competition because he's more interested in "oh, what does this do!" vis-à-vis messing with his map. can he influence the space around him via his map?!?! THERE'S ONLY ONE WAY TO FIND OUT!
ATTEMPTS: Sandy
ATTEMPTS: Elliott
How competitive are they?: 10. He wants to show how much better he is at this than his AS counterparts.
Are they good at navigating?: 5; he's used to his own well-organized Knowledge Department, so anything too chaotic throws him for a loop.
Anything Else: Elf eyes.
Re: ATTEMPTS: Elliott
ATTEMPTS: Hyacinthe
How competitive are they?: 5; he's giving it a try because he has FOMO, but he doesn't care that much either way.
Are they good at navigating?: 2; he hates it here!
Anything Else: If he gets too spooked or flustered, he'll just give up and pop out of there (he's got unicorn teleportation in addition to the medallion).
Re: ATTEMPTS: Hyacinthe
ATTEMPTS: Heddie
How competitive are they?: 0
Are they good at navigating?: 6???
Anything Else: They are just using this as a good excuse to snoop around the AS archives. Probably stopped all over the place just looking around and making note of what the AS have.
ATTEMPTS: Dick
How competitive are they?: 10, he wants to win.
Are they good at navigating?: 7
Anything Else: Flight?
ATTEMPTS: Cyprien
How competitive are they?: like, 7 since this is something he could conceivably win at
Are they good at navigating?: Giving him a 8 because of cheat code reasons
Anything Else: By that I mean he can go through walls and ignore material restrictions. He's also spent as much time in the Archives as Adrian himself would have been willing to grant, and is terminally curious about their contents anyway.
ATTEMPTS: Cinder
How competitive are they?: 8. Mapping the Archives is cool, she supposes, but winning is better.
Are they good at navigating?: 6
Anything Else: She promises not to blow anything up :(
