the gist

it's the not-pack's spring ~dinner party~ & this time bracken's host!! it doubles as a very important surprise birthday party for sharona!!! :>

the pad

an open concept unit with full floor-to-ceiling windows along two walls and excessive hardwood. there's a '70s conversation pit & tons rugs, pillows, armchairs, and couches. few personal items except brook photos. cats are around. the view outside the windows is from a maine fire lookout.

there was talk of decorations so pretend this is text about how good they look!!!

the menu

• bracken's on: pot the entrée. and hosting, allegedly, except...
• broderick's on top of everything, tbh — he took charge of a lot of the tasks bracken called "to confusin" and/or "fuckin pointless." also, drinks.
• briar & keda are on: a table and chairs... mvps...
• maya's on: sides~
• byron's on: dessert! (including something CELEBRATORY!)
• asher's on: his best behaviour (i assume)
• sharona's on: acting pleased her friends knew her birthday?? hopefully??

Gonna go with Maya told him but he in fact did not have a folding or bag chair so he went out and bought a new one which may in fact still have the price tag on it. He's also stilted but awkwardly nice with Bracken!

Asher is Unnerved by Blooper; at first he thinks he's being ridiculous like, of course this cat doesn't have it out for me, stop imagining things Asher. But when it blipped to glare at him at some point when he slipped away to the bathroom, he knew it was personal.
