He does feel like the sort of person to know card tricks. Which is a start. It is maybe a technicality, but I feel as though we could get away with it if we give him a few cue cards with actual magic words to supplement.

Oh, I can express other people's opinions. That is fine. I suppose him being irritating is also my opinion at the time, but it is subjectively true to my experience. But I cannot tell him that he is always irritating, because that is not true.
