Hello everyone, it's taken some time to get the library in a suitable state for you all but I wanted to introduce myself and clarify a few things. I'm Broderick, the Head librarian and we're more than happy to help you with your research needs.

To take any book out of the library, you must have a library card. I'm told you can just submit a photo here and pick it up later, or you can come by the desk and we can get you sorted. You get 2 weeks. I'll come for them personally if you don't bring them back in a timely manner.

The librarians are happy to assist you any way they can, but the card catalogue and computers are also self serve and accessible to you.

No eating in the library. If I catch you, I'll break your hand. Water is permitted if in a sealed bottle, or spelled to be unspillable.

Yes the photocopier is cursed, don't ask.

No you cannot get into the Restricted Section without a librarian or permission.

You will be shushed if you're not respectful of others.

Alright then, let's give it a go.

[The vision swirls into his mind's eye, settling in like a dream. This body is not his own to control, but he feels their sudden fear and pain as a cord catches them and forcefully yanks them into the awaiting maw of the Cursed Copier's scanner. It crushes their face against the glass, holding them there while the scanner lid hits them over the head repeatedly.

They look around wildly, trying to find a way to free themself, but the rapid strobing of the scanner is disorienting. By the sound of it, it's spewing out hundreds (if not thousands) of unflattering copies of its victim's smushed face.

It ends in a bright white light, then Broderick is himself again.]
