WHAT: TGIF! Everyone is invited to a Beach Day for a Beach Off. Maya finds a magical seashell.

BEACH DAY

Cadmus Scantlebury has decided you've all earned a Beach Day to boost morale (Don't think too hard about any of the little hiccups you've experienced so far! It's fine, everything's fine!).

HQ's special Beach Room is completely indoors, but it seems very much like a real beach in every way—the artificial sun is bright and warm, the artificial ocean is clear and appears to go on forever, and there are even seagulls present that will try to steal your food out of your hand. All in all, it's a nice reprieve from the relentless grey cold of Toronto, and perhaps a good opportunity for residents that are usually nocturnal to enjoy some "daylight" without any ill effects.

Fruity summer cocktails, refreshments of all sorts, and BBQ is all provided. Relax, go for a swim, get drunk, eat too much, let loose, do whatever you want. Enjoy!

Maya loves a beach day. She's ready in her bikini to swim, splash around in the artificial ocean, read a spicy book, and do her favorite thing, look for seashells.

But first, she's off to get her beach cocktail.

Is it weird that Asher showed up to beach day in a long-sleeve button down shirt and slacks? No. Don't worry about it.

Cinder kiiiiind of thinks she should be prepping for her mission, not spending a day at the beach? But it's also January in Toronto so like ... obviously.

If she winds up talking about work, she's sorry, it's just because she's anxious about her first mission!!

Dick shows up in the smallest and tightest speedo you ever did see.

bracken wishes humans would get over their prudishness so he could show up as the good lord intended!!!!! (i.e., sans swimsuit.) but he gets that complaining loudly about it might brand him a Weirdo so he compromises with a square leg suit that's def way shorter than it needs to be.

he's never been in the ocean and even though this one's artificial it still kind of makes him nervous 🥲 that's FINE there's BBQ

Darcy shows up in what is probably an orange halter jumpsuit from the 70s. She doesn't really do "water" or "swimming" or "sand" but she's here to appreciate and also dig into all that beach themed booze.

Newly aware of her probability manipulation, she'd be willing to nudge things in a certain direction for these competitions if asked. Or if she just decides the probability of you getting absolutely crushed by a wave is funny.

ARRIVALS/VIBES: Broderick

The sun's least favourite child, Broderick is nonetheless a big swimmer and loves the prospect of getting to spend time away from the doom and gloom of Toronto in February in the water.

He'd be uncharacteristically relaxed and smiley today, especially since he doesn't have to reapply sunscreen, and very social. He's wearing a white linen button up and a typical black swimsuit, a little longer than rugby shorts.

STELA LOVES THE BEACH!!!

She's making the most of beach day by (non-exhaustive and in no particular order):

• trying (and failing) to catch a seagull
  
• getting shat on by said seagull while it simultaneously steals her ice cream cone mid-bite.

Bee arrives looking VERY apprehensive. She doesn't very much like the sand, and it shows as she walks on it like how Bambi walks on ice.

Eventually she settles into a chair and under an umbrella with a fruity fucking drink so she can OBSERVE.

Byron is in a good mood, and quietly social. He spends a lot of time swimming and generally just chilling after a stressful couple of weeks.

He rolled a 7 for modesty so let's say he's wearing some little short shorts and nothing on top.

Hyacinthe rolled a nat20 for modesty (20 is modest and slays, says Kas!) so lets say he's wearing a designer sweater while lounging on the beach and somehow looks great doing it.

He's mostly here to get drunk and ✨ observe✨ people but is a little paranoid after accidentally outing himself as a unicorn on Darcy's podcast.

Nevermind that she has to drive south for any warm, fine-sand beaches because lol San Fran.

She has a glamorous floppy hat and shades, and she looks very in her element. SHE IS HERE TO HAVE A GREAT TIME.

She is in the exact pink outfit from the Barbie movie. All she's missing is Ken tbh. All smiles, very happy to experience her first real beach off ooooooh

Ophelia was excited for beach day, even though she had never spent much time at any beach. Because of that she just showed up in shorts & a tank top because she doesn't own a swimsuit. She was excited to mingle with everyone, build sandcastles and have fun!

ARRIVALS/VIBES: Cyprien

In his time, when he could feel the water and the warm sand and the smell of the ocean, Cyprien had loved beaches well. So even though he can no longer indulge in the pleasures of the flesh, or whatever, it's good to see others playing in the sand. And also going invisible a lot to add the scent of sea air to the scene, his big contribution.

Tree's here!! She's in a black swimsuit and some flowy linen number, many of her own tattoos, including a few newer little experimental mushrooms and toads on her ankle, are visible. Her feet probably look a little rootlike if she stands around too long don't look that's rude.

Curio lingers in the reflection of peoples' sunglasses, broken up in the shimmering waves, and sometimes in your cocktails.

He's busy bringing fresh beach towels in and out (please mind the floating towels), but still finds plenty of time for hijinks.

Yesenia quickly sheds her gauzy outer robe, strutting onto the beach in a bikini. You can't catch her today, insecurity!

Adzuki loves the beach, and water, and this whole thing!! She shows up looking like Gidget, though, in an old and ill-fitting swimsuit, but doesn't seem fussed that it isn't the most flattering. She's here to have FUN.

Despite being pretty ambivalent about living in LA, Briar did enjoy the ocean and is not afraid of it like some other werewolves, Bracken. His swim shorts are very short, à la Daniel Craig's infamous Bond ones, and he'll spend most of his time just relaxing and being mostly antisocial, except for the few people he's attached to.

Also he'll obviously look for Maya because wtf??

everyone's favorite goat chef can be seen working the bbq like a goat chef. he is not wearing any sort of kiss the chef or beach wear. he is wearing a BLACK t-shirt and jeans sans shoes...because that's all he owns.

Dick + Rare Bird Singing & OPEN (Beach Dance Break!)

Dick has just shook out the water from his hair after his attempt at the surfing competition when he a Mandarin Duck swoops down in front of him. The duck puffs up it's chest and when it opens it's mouth it begins singing the most on theme Blink-182 song for RichDick's birthday. It's a bop so please join Dick in some birthday dancing.
